1. First, the betting. The system in Texas Hold ‘em varies, but most of the online Hold ‘em games start with two players. For the amount to being the game, they place out a small planned amount of money which is approx. one-half the minimum bet (which is also known as posting the blinds.)

2. The dealer shuffles a deck of 52 playing cards.

3. The Players that sit on the left hand side of the Dealer begins first, by posting the blind bets.

4. To begin, two pocket (Hole) cards – face down – are given to each Player.

5. In the first round of betting, the player has 3 options – to fold, to bet or to raise. In this round, only one bet and three raises per Player are allowed. Players also are not allowed to check in the first round.

6. After the betting round ends, the dealer discards the top card of the deck. This is called a burn card. This is done to prevent cheating.

4. Three communal cards, also known as flop, are given with face up. These cards can be chosen by any players and they are free to use it in combination with two pocket cards.

5. Second round of betting begins now and here, the players have 4 options: to check, fold, bet, or raise.

6. A 4 th communal card, also called Turn, is dealt face-up.

7. Now comes the third round of betting with options to check, fold, bet, or raise.

8. Now after the 3 rd round of betting, if there are still a minimum of two competing players, a fifth and final communal card, called River, is dealt face-up.

9. The last round of betting follows.

10. And here comes the Final Showdown. Those who are still remaining, try to make best five-card hand possible. You can use any of these combinations to make the five-card hand by any of the five cards on the table or the two cards in their pocket to form a five card poker hand.

11. The best hand wins the game. And the money! In case of a tie, that is, two or more players have the same winning hand, then the money is split equally between them.
