Full Tilt Poker and others raise $100,000 for charity

August 16

Last month, Full Tilt Poker teamed with Bluff Magazine to raise money for a great cause. The online poker room and the casino gambling magazine hosted a Poker Tournament and gala loaded with Hollywood types at the Wynn Las Vegas. Appropriately named the Charity Gala and Celebrity Poker Tournament. The event was actually held on July 5th, but the buzz is still circulating after a check for over $100,000 was delivered to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas.

The poker tourney was played in the Wynn's La Bete nightclub. Many Celebrities played in honor of the Club for charity. Rare poker items were even bid on top raise money. Many people attending the poker event included Vegas business people, poker pros and more. All for a great cause, too.

Team Full Tilt, the well-known poker pros behind fulltiltpoker.com lead the poker game and were joined by poker personalities such as  Daniel Negreanu, Marcel Luske, and Annie Duke. Poker loving celebs such as poker regular Jennifer Tilly, Ron Livingston, Erik Palladino, Nicholas Gonzales, and even Omarosa from The Apprentice was in attendance.

In addition to the $100,100 raised during the auction for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas, Full Tilt Poker donated an additional $23,000 that was shared between the winners from each table to go to the charity of their liking. Actor Erik Gonzalez from the TV show ER, who won the final table, took home $10,000 (of the $23,000), for his charity, the orphanage Friends of El Faro.
