Women play for
cancer research in WTP Ladies' Night III
August 15
The
World Poker Tour returns to So. California this year. This
year's WTP Ladies' Night poker event will befittingly
benefit breast cancer research. In fact, the event is
quickly growing into one of the WTP's most popular events.
As far as women's poker events go, it is the most prominent. This year,
it will be a star- studded event at the Bicycle
Casino in Bell Gardens.
On Wednesday, August 31st, the poker
event will get under way.
Any woman
over 21 is eligible to play in the poker event. There is a
fee of $125 to enter the game - fifteen dollars of which
will be donated to breast cancer research. Event planners
expect over 400 entrants in the poker event, with many being
female celebs drawn to a great charity and great game.
Already slated to play are Shannon Elizabeth, Andrea Parker
and Sara Rue. The winner from the August 31st event will pla in the
televised WPT Ladies' Night III tournament held the very
next day.
In the September 1 final event, we will see defending poker
champ
Isabelle
No Mercy Mercier fighting for a back-to back win.
Jennifer Tilly is also becoming the woman to watch in
poker playing these days - she will be in the final event,
too.
