Spike TV to produce King of Vegas

Being that online poker and poker played anywhere is still predominately played by men, it is no surprise that America's favorite channel for men is producing its own casino tourney show. Don't worry ladies, you can play. too.

Spike TV's King of Vegas will be airing in early 2006. The new show where players must not only master poker but a full variety of casino games including blackjack, craps and more is said to be a fresh new concept. King of Vegas will feature gamblers who will compete in a  for a $1 million cash prize and be named the world's greatest gambler.

Each episode will have gamblers competing across multiple games. The series of ten shows will end with a final showdown where one person will prove that he or she is the best.

Starting at the end of this month, Spike TV will hold qualifying rounds in Chicago, IL on Oct. 23, Las Vegas, NV on Oct. 29, Atlantic City, NJ on Nov. 6 and Los Angeles, CA on Nov. 9.
